Lup supports 'War on Drugs' campaign

Imphal, January 23 2023: Asserting that the government's 'War on Drugs' mission is a must and a rightful one, Lamjing Lup, Sugnu has extended support to the government in its fight against the drug menace in the state.

In a release, Lamjing Lup, Sugnu president Kh Samango said that the 'War on Drugs' mission will help in saving the people, youth in particular, from the drug menace and societal degradation.

The mass plantation of poppy in hilly areas also abetted deforestation and soil degradation thereby affecting the environment.

The initiative of the government to save the society as well as the environment by arresting those indulging in drug business, destroying drug manufacturing areas and poppy cultivation is laudable, he added.
