7th MNCA Plate Tournament : SHADOW keep semi-final hopes alive with 5 wicket win over YAC, SDC thrash KCDO

SHADOW-Thangmeiband thumped YAC-Yaiskul by 5 wickets for the fourth Group A win in 6 matches at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium to keep their semi-final hopes alive in the 7th MNCA Plate Tournament.
YAC were toss winners and opted to bat first, but crashed out for a paltry total of 95 runs for all wickets down in 25.5 overs and SHADOW took just 17.4 overs to eclipse the total with 5 wickets left in hand.
YAC had worst of their start in the tournament as they slumped to 7/4 in 4 over as Reolin Oinam bowled out O Kishan and Salam Raju on ducks before Rahul Kumar got rid of Amit Singh Maisnam and Abocha Laishram on ducks in the last two deliveries of the fourth over.
From 7/4, Joychandra golden duck before Sagatpam Lanchenba (3/7 in 2.5 overs) swept the remaining three wickets to end the innings at 95 in 25.5 overs.
In the chase, Paras Sharma (34) and Reolin Oinam (20) played their parts well to help SHADOW post 97 for 5 in 17.4 overs.
Joychandra (3/8) and Huidrom Guneshwor (2/18) of YAC proved troublemakers in this innings but Secondary and Oriental College ground, SDC-Laipham Khunou beat KCDO-Kongpal by 69 runs for the second Group B victory in 6 matches.
SDC racked up 155 runs for 10 wickets in 31.2 overs after electing to bat first and successfully bowled out KCDO for 86 runs in 25.1 overs to earn the victory today.
Khundrakpam Subhachan- and BM Sagir Ahmed managed a wicket each.
Even as the bowlers were performing, SDC had a disastrous chase losing both the openers on duck before they were bundled out for 86 runs as Bollanath (4/21) enjoyed a four wicket haul and Thangboy Doungel (3/18) claimed three wickets.
Khundrakpam Subhachandra of SDC also claimed two wickets to speed Ngangom did his best to keep the innings alive but Paras Sharma removed him for 29 runs off a catch by Dennis before Paras went on to set up Pukhrambam Priyokumar catch to reduce the team to 61 for 6 in 18 overs.
Guite Khualminlian then trapped John Singh Oinam for the seventh wicket on SHADOW overcame the pressure as the target was not so big and got 18 runs extra to seal the victory.
SHADOW'S Paras Sharma who top-scored with 34 runs after fetching two wickets earlier in YAC innings was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr dra (30), Konjengbam Monish (42) and Thangdoungel mane significant contributions for SDC in their innings which saw Ziaur Rahaman rattling the line up dismissing 6 batters including the three top run getters of SDC.
Bikram Phamdom also picked two wickets in this innings as Netajit Konsam up the KCDO collapse and earned himself the man of the match accolade and Donny managed a wicket.
