Meritorious students of UNACCO, Ml AC honoured

UNACCO Schools organised its Annual UNACCO School Meritorious Award 2022 distribution function along with the foundation stone laying ceremony of the main office building of daily newspaper Sanaleibak and Advance Printers at the Refectory Hall of the school at Meitram on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, IPR minister Dr Sapam Ranjan remarked that Manipur will go on to become more developed in the next 15-20 years.
While stating that students are the most important source of this development and as such, they must work hard with a strong dedication to become capable citizens, while staying away from the influence of drugs, he also pointed out that no teacher would work to harm their students.
Although the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the academic atmosphere, the government believes in educating the students and as such, has been managing the same in accordance to the pandemic situation.
Asserting that students must be well aware of the state's history while also discussing the state's potential future; he urged local clubs to monitor the drug influence in their respective localities, while exhorting the students to give their best in everything to ensure success in their preferred career choice.
The function also attended by Manipur University VC Prof N Lokendra Singh, UNACCO School director Arup Kumar Mukhopadhyay and UNACCO School chairman Ningombam Irabanta Singh.
In all, 95 students who secured over 60 percent in the Class X and XII examinations were presented with the UNACCO School Meritorious Award 2022.Meanwhile, a felicitation function for students of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur, who passed the Class X examination conducted by BSEM was organised at the auditorium of the school on Saturday.
In his speech as the chief guest, Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam stated that there will be no corruption in upcoming job recruitment drive in the state, while mentioning the formation of a Staff Selection Commission on July 29 and passing of the corresponding Bill on August 1 .
The selection will be done on merit basis, thereby helping to put an end to corruption.
He then said that in addition to being sincere in giving back to state and society, students after becoming capable citizens must be filial to their parents, while staying away from all bad habits.
The function was also attended by School founder Ph Landhoni; United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur president Laishram Joy; HSLC 2022 23rd position holder Th Miranda's father Th Jayenta, students and parents/guardians.
Academic Incentive Award Committee (AIA-CO), Mayang Imphal also felicitated 111 students who cleared class X and class XII examinations conducted by BSEM and COHSEM with high marks as well as outstanding sportspersons of Mayang Imphal constituency.
The felicitation function held at Jiten cinema haH, Mayang Imphal on Saturday was attended by local MLA and MANIDCO chairman K Robindro as chief guest, retired veterinary director Dr Ch Nandakishore as president and Mayang Imphal SDPO Khutheibam Farukh Ali as guest of honour.
Speaking at the event, K Robindro stressed that students should not be disheartened by getting less marks in examinations but concentrate on their aims and objectives as many of the students who secured positions in state level examinations remain unsuccessful.
He also said that parents should identify talents of their children and pushed them to their right careers instead of forcing them to pursue unrealistic career.
He said that A1ACO, Mayang Imphal will complete 25 years next year and preparation is being made to provide free coaching to students with the opening of an office of AIACO.
According to K Robindro, some government schools in Mayang Imphal have improved significantly since he became the MLA in 2017 and construction works for Bengoon Higher Secondary School and N Tomchou Higher Secondary School are going on under School Fagathandi Mission of the government.
He also said that student enrolment at Laphupat Tera Aided High School has increased with the construction of school building in coordination with local people.
