Har Ghar Tiranga campaign gains pace

Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign has gained pace in the State as various activities have been taken up by different Departments as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
BISHNUPUR
In line with the HGT campaign, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Zone IV, Bishnupur, today organised various activities in different schools of the district.
Slogan Writing Competition on "Patriotism, Nationalism" and Painting Competition on the theme, "India's Struggle for Independence" were held today at Ningthoukhong Sardar Patel High School.
Students of Classes VIII to XII participated in the competitions, said DIO.
ZEO Bishnupur also organised similar activities under the same theme at Toubul Government High School.
A quiz programme was also conducted at Kha Sanjenbam High School.
The HGT campaign in Bishnupur has so far witnessed participation from as many as 25 schools and 223 students.
CHURACHANDPUR
As part of the HGT campaign, Zonal Education Officer, Churachandpur organised Painting and Slogan Writing competitions for students at various schools yesterday.
The competitions were held at Hill Model HS, Suangdoh Government HS, NKT High School, Singngat Standard HS, Tuibuang Government HS, Churachandpur Hr Sec School, Lyzon Friendship School, Khomunnom, Vimala Raina HS and Tuiveljang Primary School.
The District Administration has also started procuring National Flags for distribution to Government offices and households.
The District Hospital authority has started sticking the Tricolour sticker on OPD tickets since the last few days.
The District Medical Department also had all of its official vehicles including Ambulances decorated/pasted with the Tiranga.
DC Churachandpur, Sharath Chandra Arroju on Friday chaired a DLO meeting to review the preparations for upcoming Independence Day celebration and HGT campaign in the district.
The meeting decided to organise the Independence Day celebration at Lamka Public Ground.
Meanwhile, 69 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IGP M&N Sector organised a Har Ghar Tiranga Rally at Mantripukhri, Imphal, said a release issued by 69 Bn CRPF.
During the rally held under the supervision of Bajarang Lal, Commandant, National flags were distributed to the public to encourage them to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India's Independence.
