ARPS Keithelmanbi students set off for ISRO, Sriharikota

10 Assam Rifles Public School students along with two teachers left Imphal today for ISRO, Sriharikota to witness the launch of 18 balloon satellites, 2 sub-orbital and 2 orbital satellites.
The team sponsored by Keithelmanbi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) will witness the AzaadiSAT launch by ISRO tomorrow (Aug 7), said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
A balloon satellite developed by students of 75 schools across India is also part of this launch which is being organised by SpaceKids India in association with ISRO, commemorating India's 75 years of Independence, added the statement.
The initiative will give the young students of Keithelmanbi an outstanding exposure of the state of art Indian technology at ISRO and motivate them to pursue studies with inspired vigour.
