NLSO highlights issues in Tamei area

The Northern Liangmai Students' Organisation has highlighted various issues faced by the people of Tamei area and urged the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest.
In a release, NLSO stressed on the immediate need to make the Tamei-Kuilong, Tamei-Dunong and Chalwa-Kuilong roads penetrable for the welfare of the people of the area.
The organisation stated that people of the area are facing difficulties to even transport sick patients to PHCs and other nearby hospitals especially, during the rainy season.
"Rice sanctioned under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) are still in stock and yet to be distributed to the beneficiaries due to poor road conditions", it added.
The organisation also appealed to the Chief Minister to make the Sub-Divisional Collector Office (SDCO) at Kuilong functional at the earliest as assued by him during his visit at Kuilong.
NLSO further appealed to the State Government to consider the plight of the people of the area and initiate necessary measures at the earliest.
