Imphal, October 26 2022:
Naorem Bihari College Physics Department HOD in-charge H Rebika has appealed to the clubs and CSOs operating in and around Khundrakpam AC to help restore normalcy in the college.
Addressing a press meet held at Manipur Press Club here on Wednesday, Rebika confided that the College is continuously facing a myriad of issues, which instead of being resolved are being blown out of proportion.
She then mentioned that one S Ibemcha Chanu, who claimed to be the secretary of Teaching and Non-Teaching Association, which had been defunct for over 15 years, issued a notice on October 24 inconspicuously.
As per the notice, a new Governing Body (GB) was formed against the rules and a reception of the same was held at the college on Wednesday, which is quite serious.
The illegally formed GB had also appointed one Ch Shanti Devi as Teachers' representative (TR).
The matter was reported to the authority concerned in writing and the truth of the matter is still being awaited.
However, as the authority concerned had been negligent of the many wrongdoings being done in the college for a long time, the college has now fallen in the hands of a group of people with self-interests as their first priority.
Thus, she appealed to the local clubs, Meira Paibi and CSOs to look into the matter and help restore normalcy in the college.
