Lectures on Ayurveda, education organised

Assam Rifles conducted an awareness lecture on Ayurveda medicine system at Keithelmanbi in Imphal West district on Tuesday with the stated objective to introduce Ayurvedic system of medicine and to create awareness on the benefits of using Ayurveda treatment vis-a-vis other medicinal systems.
The lecture was organised as a part of seventh 'National Ayurveda Day' on the theme 'Har Din Har Ghar Ayurved', said PRO IGAR (S) in a release.
While informing that the lecture attendees were informed about various easily available plants and herbs which can be used for treating ailments effectively, the release added that the participants were also explained about how diseases can be prevented by including Ayurvedic herbs as a part of our diet.
A total of 55 people including ladies of all age groups attended the lecture.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a motivational lecture on Role of Education in nation building at Larong Khunou in Chandel district.
In another release, PRO IGAR(s) informed that the event was organised to make Students aware about their responsibility and role of education in the building of a strong nation.
The lecture focused on assistance, guidance and motivation of the youth to make appropriate career choices as per their interest and potential.
The lecture was organised to inform the youth not just about various opportunities available for joining Armed Forces but also to guide them about other employment avenues in private and public sector as well, the PRO said.
A total of 47 young adults participated in the event.
The initiative and gesture by Assam Rifles was very well appreciated by the parents/guardians of the students of Larong Khunou village and they look forward for such motivational lectures, added the PRO.
