Party workers exhorted to strive for BJP only Govt

The present government led by BJP faced political crisis repeatedly for being a coalition one and could not take up people oriented works satisfactorily, stated chief minister N Biren and called upon BJP workers (Karyakartas) to put more efforts so that the party alone could form the government in the next term.
Taking advantage of inauguration of an oxygen plant at District Hospital, Chandel on Monday, BJP Chandel District felicitated chief minister N Biren Singh and the latter too met BTP Karyakartas of the district as part of party's preparation for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election likely to be held in early part of 2022.Addressing BJP workers during the event held at Chandel Christian village community hall, N Biren advised party workers to campaign for the upcoming election by highlighting a chievements of the government rather than making tall promises.
Despite facing political crisis and COVID-19 pandemic, the present government led by BJP managed to bring significant changes in the state during the past four and half years apart from taking up people-oriented works successfully particularly in health, road and communication and education sectors.
Women's markets have been constructed in almost all the district headquarters of the hills and government is also helping poor people in construction of houses, he said.
Poor people who could not avail treatment at hospitals earlier are now being able to get treatment with the financial assistance provided under Ayushman Bharat/ Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojna (PMJAY) and Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang, he said and asked if there was any government in the past which offered such financial assistance for medical treatment.
Many governments have come and gone but none did construct Pallel-Chandel road like the present one, he said and maintained that the present government gives special emphasis on bringing development in the hills.
While appealing to party workers to begin preparation for creating awareness among the people about development works executed by the government, N Biren advised party workers to identify development works taken up in Chandel district and start collecting data including health card.
COVlD-19 pandemic hampered meeting with party workers until recently but party leaders will now visit different places to meet workers, Biren said and appealed to party workers to start preparation for the next election so that party's candidates could emerge victorious and form a BJP alone government.
The event was also attended by education minister S Rajen, Tribal Affairs and Hill minister Vungzagin Valte, ADC Chandel caretaker chairman D Ringo Lamkang, District Council members, Chandel District in charge of BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president Yuh Jonathan Tao, BJP Chandel District president Sk Angshel Lamkang, general secretary N Nicodemus, BJP 41-Chandel Mandal president Huten Changhring, general secretary Jangvei Adison and members if BJP Chandel Mahila, Yuva, Kishan and ST Morehas.
