Eat Right India awareness campaign held

Yari QauliTech organised Eat Right India Awareness programme at American Oncology Institute Babina Speciality Hospital near Sajiwa Jail on Tuesday.
During the programme which was held with the help of Herbalife Nutrition, Yari QauliTech director Yashi Shrivastav said that the main objective of eat right campus project under Eat Right India campaign is to transform country's food system in order to ensure safe, healthy and sustainable food for all Indians.
The project is being taken up under three main points namely food safety, eating right and food sustainable, he added.
According to Yashi Shrivastav, increasing food-related diseases in India like under-nutrition, micronutrients deficiency, increasing obesity and diabetes and non-communicable diseases like hypertension and heart related diseases are result of food habits and non-maintenance of healthy diet.
In order to prevent these diseases, the present life-style needs to be changed and do regular exercise or Yoga, he added.
The awareness programme was also attended by Classic Group of Hotels chef Sougrakpam Sunil, Naocha Sanasam of Herbalife Nutrition and AOI dietician Yulia Yengkokpam.
Staff of Classic Group of Hotels and Babina Speciality Hospital also took part in the awareness programme.
