Imphal, April 26 2022:
CPI-Manipur State Council will continue to stage protest against the rising prices of fuel in the state, till May 9 .
On Tuesday, CPI Manipur State Council convened a state executive meeting wherein it was decided to continue the protests against the rising fuel prices.
The meeting also observed that the rising prices of fuel and other essential items despite PM Narendra Modi's preaching of India being the largest democracy in the world, has made the situation in India far worse than Sri Lanka which is undergoing an economic crisis.
CPI Manipur State Council had refrained from carrying out mass rallies or protests considering the ongoing examinations.
However, the situation calls for a bigger struggle on part of the people of Manipur.
Thus, the party will be extending full support to any movement launched by different women and youth organisations of the state, CSOs, student bodies and others against the rising prices.
