Two new cases detected, two discharged

Imphal, April 26 2022:
The state on Tuesday reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 246 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering 0.81 per cent test positivity rate against 1.46 per cent recorded on Monday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second dose of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, two patients were discharged from RIMS and Covid Care facility.
Number of active cases stands at 17 out of which 10 (58.82 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 300 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 190 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,429 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 123 new positive cases and zero fatality while weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 16 and zero respectively.
According to official reports, both the two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are from among the general population and they are from Ukhrul and Kangpokpi districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,217 (general population - 1,32,203 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,080 (general population - 130,073 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 17 (general population).
The recovery rate remains at 98.44 per cent.
A total of 300 D-type and 92 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 4745 vaccine doses administered on Monday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,54,397, out of which 11,99,927 had received second dose and 78,114 had taken precautionary dose.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,745), Imphal East (30,443), Thoubal (10,160), Churachandpur (11,054), Kangpokpi (3134), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9842), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3276), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,221 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,659 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,499 tests per million population against the national average of 5,94,822 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative positivity is at 8.53 per cent.
