Farmers' Fair held in Churachandpur, Bishnupur

ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Churachandpur organised a district level Farmers' Fair under 'Kisan Bhagidari, Prathmikta Hamari' campaign as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on Tuesday.
The inauguration function of the programme was attended by Churachandpur MLA L M Khaute as chief guest and ICAR-KVK Churachandpur head in-charge L Somendro Singh as president.
As many as 200 farmers from different parts of the district took part in the Kisan Mela where altogether 13 stalls were opened.
The programme commenced with presentation of cultural dances by girl troupes of Young Paite Association to welcome the dignitaries, who also visited the stalls.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA LM Khaute appreciated KVK Churachandpur for organising the fair and participation from farming communities and NGOs in the programme.
Such fairs and events will create awareness among farmers, he said, while appealing to the farmers to utilise such opportunities to their best level.
Meanwhile, KVK Bishnupur organised a Farmers' Fair under 'Kisan Bhagidari, Prathmikta Hamari' campaign as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at its conference hall on Tuesday.
The programme which was presided over by former Union minister and KVK Utlou chairman Th Chaoba Singh had the participation of KVK Bishnupur subject matter specialist (Millets & Oilseed Agronomy) Dr S Shakhen and subject matter specialist (Plant Protection) Kh Maipak Singh as resource persons.
They also took part in an interaction programme with farmers.
Later, the dignitaries along with participating farmers reviewed various stalls opened at the fair which included stalls displaying farm produces, agriculture machinery and tools.
