After touring Tamenglong, Mani heads for Senapati

Independent candidate for Manipur Outer Parliamentary constituency Mani Charenamei has assured that implementation of National Land Utilisation Policy in the hill districts of Manipur will be concertedly pushed forward if he is elected to the Parliament for the second time.
Winding up his Tamenglong district tour since March 27 meeting frontal organisations, public leaders, Church leaders and the general public, Mani has headed for Senapati district.
On March 27, a meeting was held at Longmai town in Tamenglong district.
The meeting at Longmai was attended by pastors, village chairmen, of the surrounding villages of Longmai including Haochong range in the morning.
Then in the afternoon, another meeting was held at Nungba Sub-divisional headquarter.
The public were reminded of the many achievements of his previous term, 2004-2009 when he represented in the Parliament.
"I will do my utmost to implement the National Land Utilization Policy in order to protect our land and resources and to develop the agricultural lands and capitalize the development plans of Asian super highway which would pass through Tamenglong," the former Lok Sabha MP assured.
Again, on March 28, the next stop was at Tamenglong district headquarters where the Independent candidate went to the neighboring villages and had a brief campaign.
The flag hoisting was done at the district election office, where he interacted with the committee members.
On March 29, there was another public meeting at Tamei Sub-division headquarter.
The Independent candidate stated that he had decided to take up the Independent stand, so that he would be at a better position to create a common platform for all the sections of the communities to come together, and also understand the sufferings of the people better.
The next public meeting was held at Irang Part-I, in Senapati district, attended mostly the Nepali community.
There were about 200 people in the meeting.
The entourage then headed towards Purul in Senapati district.
