'Wainam Gas' invented

In a telling commentary on the skillfulness of Manipuri people, Maibam Nandakumar of Heirangoithong Maibam Leikai, Keibung and his friends namely K Telheiba, O Janeshor and L Ronel have invented "Wainam Gas", a cooking machine.
In connection with the invention, Nandakumar, who is also the Proprietor of Computech Centre explained that since Wainam Gas machine is operated from burning of Paddy husk of rice, it would reduce the hardships faced by people from high cost of LPGs or other cooking stove fuels.
Compare to electric cookers or heaters, Wainam Gas machine would also be quite useful in view of erratic power supply in the state.
It is said that a 12V, 5A-7A battery and a fan is used in the construction of Wainam Gas machine.
With a full load (700 grams) of husk, the machine can produces burning gas for 50 minutes.
One can put any quantity of husk; though a minimum 300 grams is needed to run the machine and can adjust the burning gas according to one's need.
Although it's a machine running on paddy husk, no smoke is produced; it is easy to turn off and is light weight, Nandakumar said, while demonstrating the invention.
He also drew the attention of the Government for providing necessary funding for manufacturing many for such machines and make them available to the public at cheaper rates.
