Increase wage: INTUC

Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Manipur Branch has urged the State Government to increase the minimum wages for the workers and labourers of the State.
A press release issued by the INTUC General Secretary informed the State Government that Delhi Government has approved to implement new wages from April this year.
It added, in Delhi, the workers are divided into two categories.
In the first category, workers are classified as unskilled, semi-skill and skilled.
For unskilled workers, the wage has been increased from Rs 6656 to Rs 7020, Rs 7358 to 7748 for semi-skilled and Rs 8112 to Rs 8528 for skilled workers.
The second category has been divided as Clerical and Non-Technical.
Here, the wage has been increased from Rs 7358 to Rs 7748 for clerical jobs and Rs 8814 to Rs 9282 for non-technical employees.
The union urged the State Government to implement the same wages for casual, muster roll employees, Home Guard and VDF personnel and staff of local daily newspapers of the State.
