Umananda appointed MPP ad-hoc President

Sanasam Umananda has been appointed as the new ad-hoc President of MPP for 3 months in accordance to a resolution adopted by the Central Committee of the party today.
Addressing media persons at the party's office here today, Umananda said that even though MPP is the one of the oldest regional political parties in the state, the party has been brought down to the ground by certain leaders of the party who neither understood the idea of regionalism nor considered regionalism as their heart and soul.
He went on to say that the present leaders of MPP will be selected from the youths who believe in regionalism and understand what regionalism stands for.
Youths will be made aware of regionalism by carrying out awareness programme every month where experts in the field will be imparting lessons to the participants.
Though MPP is a regional party, it will work with national outlook.
The newly appointed ad-hoc President informed that the strength of the party will be increased with reconstitution of frontal organizations, Chanura Marup, Youth Front, Minority Cell, Kishan Cell and Labour cells.
He also assured to take up steps to bring financial transparency and accountability in the party and see that there is no internal difference in opinions.
