Man banished for molesting a married woman at Thoubal

Thoubal, June 04 2012:
A man has been banished from his resident for molesting a married woman of his resident, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Haotabi Lampak Maning Leikai.
According to report, the incident occurred at around 2.30 pm yesterday when the woman went to mill rice at a rice mill in her locality.
The rice mill owner, identified as Phurailatpam Amudon misbehave with his customer taking advantage of the absence of people inside his rice-mill.
Protesting the approach, the woman ran back to her house and informed the family members about her encounter.
Acting on it, the local residents destroyed the rice-mill and bayed for the man.
The intervention of police and VDF personnel posted nearby pacified the enraged mob.
Later a meeting of the locals decided to banish the man from his locality with a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
