Imphal, November 18 2021:
The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) said that its armed wing People's Liberation Army (PLA) knows that there are collateral damages in battles and hence always tries to avoid harming innocent people, especially women and children, during battles.
According to an RPF statement issued by its deputy secretary of publicity Roben Khuman, PLA had aborted plan of attacking Indian security forces simply because of presence of women and children on many occasions and vivid examples were that of Komkeirak, Keishamthong and many more.
Indian Army and Manipur police have full knowledge about those examples, the statement said and recalled the quote "...the militants (of Manipur) never attacked convoys at those times in order to avoid collateral damage" of Sanjiv Krishan Sood, a retired Additional Director General of Border Security Force.
A mother and a child were killed in the recent ambush in Churachandpur and it was very sad and unfortunate, the RPF statement said and prayed for their souls to rest in peace.
The outfit also clarified that PLA had no prior knowledge of the presence civilians-m that convoy and it would have been a different scenario had the cadres knew about the mother-child duo travelling with the AR troopers.
By taking that incident as an example, Indian leaders and media heroes are trying to label PLA as a terrorist and monster.
It is indeed India's general character to howl and blame others to hide their mistakes and incompetent.
Instead of labelling PLA as a terrorist or extremist or monster, it would be better to study how and why a Commanding Officer of a military unit protected by one of India's finest Commando Ghatak Forces was killed at a mere PLA ambush, the RPF statement added.
RPF had declared to abide by the Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions of 1949 at Geneva in 1997, the RPF statement said and asked as to why India is not accepting the application of the same Common Article 3 yet.
Further asking is government of India longing for Draconian rules than Democracy, means, 'Act of State Terrorism' , the RPF questions then who is Terrorist or Extremist or Monster; India or RPF.
While stating that India's think tanks and IOF (Indian Occupational Forces) propagate about RPF and its Army PLA as a faction of UNLF, the RPF maintained that RPF was formed by a few former members of RGM (Revolutionary Government of Manipur) and new recruits.
Leaders and members of RGM were arrested and had been detained for many years by Government of India in Tripura.
Being defeated by sugar-coated bullets of the enemy they took general amnesty enjoying the illusion of the rehabilitation programme of the then reactionary government in early 1970s.Subsequently, they had forgotten the value of revolution and turn out to be pseudo and counter revolutionary.
A few members of RGM reorganised the people with a new spirit of the Marxism-Leninism Mao Zedong thought and led the revolution of the people by organising a new army of the people, People's Liberation Army in 1978, and had dissolved the then RGM, the statement explained.
