Imphal, November 04 2014:
Association of Tiddim Road Light Commercial Vehicle Transport Society (ATRCVTS) has asked the Manipur Government on Tuesday to quickly bring a solution to the Ninthoukhong hit and run case in which one local resident named Thoiba was injured on October 31 last, saying it would go in for an 'intense' agitation if the Government ignores the issue further.
Ningthoukhong joint action committee (JAC) which was formed in connection with the hit and run case has been obstructing movement of passenger Winger vans along the Tiddim road since the road mishap, and that the prolong protest has hit hard on the passenger service, said TRCVTS society general secretary M Oken.
He demanded that the Manipur Government bring a clear-cut solution to the problem and warned of launching intense agitation if the Government fails to settle the matter quickly with the JAC concerned and the victim's family.
