PREPAK celebrates 44th raising day

The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) reportedly celebrated its 44th raising day at different locations along With people of both the hills and the valley by following Covid-19 SOP guidelines on Saturday.
In a release, PREPAK assistant charge d'affairs, publicity and propaganda Achouba informed that the celebration was held at Central Headquarters, 701 mobile battalion, 707 battalion, Tactical Head Quarter (THQ), base areas, transit camps and training centres with the commemorative event held at CHQ attended by chairman of interim council, Chief of Army Staff (CAS) and Charge d' Affairs, Publicity and Propaganda as presidium members.
The function began with hoisting of the party's flag by the chairman.
A publication 'Kangla Sempung volume 07, issue no 07' published by department of publicity and propaganda was released as a part of the event.
Speaking at the programme, the chairman pointed out that the economy of Kangleipak (Manipur) has become dependent after all the ways to earn a living were destroyed, thereby, degrading the economy at its lowest level.
As socio-economy is closely linked with the land, the degradation of economy drastically affected the society.
Furthermore, it has disrupted the strong relationship among the communities who have been living together like brothers since time immemorial, the chairman continued, while adding that the impact has been felt not only in the bond and trust among the communities but also even in every household.
Upon seeing the rapid materialistic changes taking place across the world, youth who wanted to join the race are demanding huge money from their parents.
Those parents who could not afford money are considered as pathetic or adversary by the own children, thus shattering familial harmony.
Such incidents have occurred in most families except for few wealthy one, the chairman observed, while cautioning that such strain in the relationship is direct fallout of colonialism.
The only solution is to defeat colonialism and make Kangleipak an inde pendent nation once again, the chairman added.
Outfit's armed wing - Red Army 701 mobile battalion commander major Rocky and 707 battalion major Langamba hoisted the party's flag at their respective battalions and celebrated the raising day, the release informed and conveyed gratitude to all concerned for their contributions and participation towards smooth celebration of the raising day.
