Imphal,June 04 2013:
While alleging that increasing cases of crime and violence against women in the State are fallout of Indian colonial policies, the proscribed RPF has said that the outfit stands firm to protect the rights and dignity of women.
A statement issued by Chief of Publicity Department of RPF Bangkim said that the outfit is concerned with the increasing cases of crime and violence against women, and it has an obligation towards the people to rectify the social system and punish the perpetrators as well.
The RPF lauded the family members and victim of the TG School rape case for their courage to fight for justice against all odds.
The outfit further said that many unwanted elements in close association with Indian agencies are trying to tarnish the image of the outfit.
The victim and her family members should be cautious and stay away from those people who pretend to be supporters of downtrodden people, but leads to victimization of the victim again, it said.
The RPF would also take punitive action against Tarun and William who have been accused in the rape case, the statement added.
