JAC formed, stir line up

In connection with the disappearance of truck driver Md Anwar, a JAC has been constituted and it has decided to launch a series of agitation in case the Government could not trace Md Anwar's whereabouts by June 6 .
Speaking to media persons at the office of the All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO) at Hatta this afternoon, JAC convenor Md Amjad Khan said that the JAC was constituted yesterday together with different organisations functioning within Yairipok Changamdabi Zilla Parishad yesterday.
The meeting held yesterday resolved to launch a series of agitation if the Government fails to trace the whereabouts of Anwar by June 6 .
Another resolution of the meeting was to send appeals to all civil society organisations of Manipur to help find missing Anwar.
38 year old Md Anwar alias Ithem of Yairipok Changamdabi Makha went missing from a place known as Akgyaramile along NH 37, just 23 Kms away from Jiribam towards Imphal since May 23 .
He was transporting FCI rice in a truck (MN-01/7764) owned by one P Debenkumar of Bamon Leikai, Mange Makhong.
The trucks and its loads have been recovered and the handyman has returned home.
Amjad appealed to all concerned to release Anwar on humanitarian ground if anyone/group is keeping him hostage.
AMMSO secretary (education) Wahidur Rahman decried the inaction of the Government and the truck owner with regard to the disappearance of Anwar.
He also pledged support to any line of action taken up by the JAC.
