Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Sukham Bihari of Wangkhei Angom Leikai demanded fitting action against M Biren who pulled down his house and other belongings in defiance of a Court ruling.
He said Patta No 1145/1202, dag No 14, Acre 175 Village No 27 at Wangkhei Angom Leikai was purchased from one Nongmaithem Birendra of Purana Rajbari.
The patta has been in the name of Sukham Bihari since 1999 .
Again, N Birendra had sold the land which was in the name of S Bihari to one Tomba.
A case was registered at a Court in this regard.
While the dispute over land ownership is being contested in a Court, one Moirangthem Biren of Tentha claimed that the land belongs to him and produced a patta.
Biren claimed to have purchased the land from one Khundrakpam Tomba.
Besides filing a case in a Court, Biren dismatled the house and other structures, Bihari said.
Although he was asked to leave the land, S Bihari conveyed his resolve to occupy the land unless a Court order is issued.
Despite this, his house and other belongins were dismatled by M Biren using a heavy machinery, he said.
Salam Pari Luwang, Counsel of Sukham Bihari said the rightful owner of the disputed land should be established by the Court while suggesting suitable punishment for the one who disregards Court procedings.
