20 more expelled, BSEM appeals

Imphal, February 24, 2014:
Reiterating that the practice of carrying electronic communication equipments like mobile phones inside the examination halls by candidates, invigilators and staffs at various examination centers is in contravention of its instructions and that any examination center violating these instructions will be viewed seriously, Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) has appealed to all concerned to desist from carrying such equipments inside the campus of any examination centers.
While also requesting the Officers-in-Charge of all examination centers to ensure proper frisking/checking to prevent such practices, the Board has instructed that if any such items were found being carried by anybody, it should be seized and kept under the personal custody of the OC of the center till completion of the examination.
Meanwhile, a total of 20 students were expelled today by the Board from the ongoing HSLC Examination 2014 for using unfair means in Ukhrul-A, Yaingangpokpi, Moirang-A, Nambol-B, Langmeidong, Senapati-A, Imphal and Mayang Imphal-B examination centers.
