Thangmeiband A/C MLA and MPCC spokesperson Kh Joykisan has exhorted the unemployed youth of the State to shun the general conception that Government employees are only employed persons.
Speaking to media persons at the inauguration of Yumfal Central Perk at Chingmeirong Maning Leikai, Imphal West near Assembly First Gate today, Joykisan urged the youth to take up any available jobs that could contribute towards their families and the State instead of wasting time waiting for Government jobs.
Lauding proprietor of the fast food restaurant RK Kartik for being self-employed, he asked the youth to take Kartik as a role model for self-employment.
He also asked banks in the State to give special emphasis on providing loans to the youth with innovative ideas and empower those who genuinely try to create source of income by means of self employment.
The MLA observed that the unemployment problem in the State could be reduced to a great extent if the banks facilitate unemployed youth by providing loan in different trades.
He appealed to the Government to adequately create appropriate schemes for those unemployed youth who want to establish their own business.
Kartik conveyed that he will make American breakfast items and common fast food items available at his restaurant at a cheaper price.
