TRAU awarded walk over, PSC beat YAC by 4 runs

TRAU, Kwakeithel got a walk over today as YWC, Patsoi did not show up in the first match while PSC, Khuyathong secure a 4 run victory against YAC, Yaiskul in the evening match of the 1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Lanthabal Sporting Club at Langthabal Public Ground.
In the second match of the day, PSC, Khuyathong who won the toss and elected to bat first posted a total of 92 runs for all wickets down in 19.2 overs.
The bowling attacks of YAC were very effective and Rakesh alone dismissed 4 top order batsmen in four overs offering 17 runs while Jemson of the same team also enjoyed a three-wicket haul maintaining a perfect economy as he offered just 5 runs in 3.3 overs and helped in restricting PSC to just a meagre 92 runs.
Homenjit who scored 22 runs of 33 balls was the highest scorer in this inning while Rakesh made 16 runs in 30 balls.
Kenny also contributed 11 runs facing 11 balls and aided in setting the target of 93 runs.
Though, YAC fielded nice bowling front today, their batsmen could not strike well and failed to build momentum as PSC thoroughly break the partnerships in time.
The Yaiskul side had to give the up the match at 88 runs for 6 in 20 overs.
Somorjit made 23 runs facing 31 balls in this inning while Rakesh managed to add up 21 runs in 35 balls from his side.
Joychandra of the same team who faced 16 balls also gathered 14 runs.
Rakesh of PSC was able to pick 2 wicket in the second inning and offered just 13 runs in 4 overs.
TCMDC will face KIYC in the first match tomorrow in a Group B league match while CYCLONE will take on MODEL CLUB on another Group B encounter scheduled in the evening session.
