Bad weather jolts Golden Myanmar boarders

The passengers on board the Airbus A-320 of Golden Myanmar were almost shaken when the aircraft failed to land at Tulihal International Airport twice due to bad weather.
Altogether 122 people from the State had travelled to Mandalay in the chartered flight of Golden Myanmar on November 21.The breathtaking incident happened on their return journey to Imphal on the same flight today morning.
According to a passenger of the flight, 122 people from the State including 20 ladies, who had visited Mandalay City, boarded the Golden Myanmar Airline today.
The flight took off at 8.10 am from Mandalay Airport.
The crew members announced that the duration of flight from Mandalay to Imphal was about 70 minutes.
The flight was scheduled to land at Tulihal Airport at around 9.20 am.
However, it kept on flying for about one hour beyond the scheduled timing.
Soon after, the crew members asked all passengers to fasten their seat belts for landing.
The aircraft lowered gradually for landing, but all of a sudden it drifted upwards with a loud burst from the engine.
At that point of time, all passengers felt that they were almost killed in midair crash.
A reliable source informed that the Airbus A-320 of Golden Myanmar could not land at Tulihal Airport as the runway was not visible to the pilot due to bad weather.
The aircraft flew for some time and attempted to land again.
However, the same thing happened again.
It drifted upwards all of a sudden unable to touch the ground.
The panic stricken passengers began to pray to the Almighty while some started to have drinks as if for the last time before their death.
The flight was ultimately filled with melancholic sounds of women passengers crying helplessly, the passenger told Hueiyen Lanpao.
After two failed attempts of landing, the flight went back to Mandalay Airport.
The passengers got a sigh of relief after landing at Mandalay Airport.
The scared passengers thought of changing the flight, but their visas were granted only for three days.
They had no other choice but to board the same flight.
Reportedly, the Captain of the flight was changed at Mandalay Airport.
The troubled flight finally landed at Tulihal Airport at around 12.40 pm without any problem.
Meanwhile, the Myanmarese delegates led by the Chief Ministers of Mandalay and Sagaing Regions left Imphal today by the same flight after their four-day sojourn in the State in connection with the ongoing Manipur Sangai Festival, 2013 .
