Final Photo Electoral Rolls out

Under the instruction of Election Commission of India, the Final Photo Electoral Rolls for all the sixty Assembly Constituencies of the State was released today at the office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) at Imphal Secretariat.
Altogether 17,47,889 voters which include 861416 male voters and 886473 female voters have been included in the final electoral rolls.
Talking to media persons on the occasion, O Nabakishore, CEO of Manipur stated that the final electoral rolls of all the 60 Assembly Constituencies was targeted to be released on January 14.However, due to frequent bandhs and blockades in the State, the released of the electoral rolls was delayed.
Nabakishore pointed out that the total number of voters in the electoral rolls of 2012 was 17,41,581 (male-851544 and female-890037).But the number of voters has been increased to 17,47,889 in 2013 (male-861416 and female-886473).Altogether 47,143 voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years have been newly included in the electoral rolls of the State.
He also informed that the coverage rate of photo electoral identity card is cent percent.
The number of female electorates too has been reduced as in comparison to last year due to the restriction of double voters.
Furthermore, the CEO informed that largest of number of electorates has been recorded in Mao A/C with altogether 56501 electorates while the least number of electorates has been recorded in Tipaimukh A/C with just 17038 voters.
There are also 30662 voters who are above the age of 80 years; 72447 voters in the age group of 70 to 79 years; 139268 voters in the age group of 60 to 69 years; 223388 voters in the age group of 50-59 years; 345185 voters in the age group of 40-49 years; 345185 voters in the age group of 30-39 years; 439885 voters in the age group of 20-29 years and altogether 449911 voters in the age group of 18-19 years.
