Cabinet decides to resolve Dzukou dispute

State Cabinet on Tuesday decided to resolve the Dz�kou Valley boundary dispute with the intervention of the Survey General of India in upholding clear lines of demarcation on the inter-State border.
The Cabinet also decided to urge the Governor to summon the 11th Assembly session so that it can commence from June 26 and continue till July 10.But the Business Advisory of the Assembly will fix the number of sittings, said Government spokesperson and CAF & PD Minister Moirangthem Okendro.
The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, began at 3 pm and continued till 8:10 pm at the CM's Secretariat.
The meeting seriously dwelt on the reported encroachment on Manipur's Dz�kou Valley by Nagaland, Okendro said.
He informed that the Chief Minister has already shot off a representation to the Prime Minister seeking his help in hammering out a solution to the boundary stalemate between Manipur and neighbouring Nagaland.
Okendro further informed that Ibobi has also urged his Nagaland counterpart in writing to jointly take up steps to end the boundary issue.
Taking the boundary issue seriously, the Cabinet decided to carry out official demarcation on the border along with representatives of The Survey General of India in order to maintain the clear political boundary.
The Cabinet also discussed on finding out ways to prevent any tension between the two States over the Dz�kou Valley boundary dispute, he informed.
He also said that the Cabinet further decided to appeal to the Committee for Koz�ri and Dz�kou Land Boundary Resolution to call off the ongoing indefinite economic blockade imposed by the committee along Imphal-Dimapur road in the interest of the general public.
Meanwhile, Okendro, who is also the Education Minister, informed that the State Cabinet in addition on Tuesday's meeting gave its approval to hold the 'Special Examination' for all CBSE Class X and Class XII students who had missed out the Central board exams 2015 .
He said this exam is likely to be conducted in July next.
He said the Special exam for Class X will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) with the syllabus prescribed by the board while the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) will do the same for the Class XII .
