Taking cognizance of the bleak future of students who could not appear for the Class X and Class XII examinations conducted by the CBSE this year, the State Cabinet has decided to entrust the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur to arrange a special Class X examination for the students.
Likewise the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur too would be asked to arrange a special examination for the Class XII students.
The decision of the Cabinet was taken as per the recommendations submitted by a special committee formed to look into the matter.
The committee was headed by the Director of School Education.
The Cabinet has also decided to discontinue the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme from the current academic session.
