HSLC exam 2015 results out
26 declared position holders; pass percentage of 61.52; lowest in four years

Results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam 2015 conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) were out on Thursday.
A single Government school candidate was among 26 position holders.
The pass percentage of the board examination was 61.52.But the year has recorded the lowest pass percentage in four years.
Melody Khoirom of Khuman Maheikol, Mayang Imphal secured the first position, Toijam Sanjita of Little Flower School, Imphal and Gurumayum Gopalkrishna Sharma of Don Bosco High School, Imphal turned out as joint second position holders while Victoria Ngangbam of Nirmalabas School, Imphal achieved third position.
Topper Melody Khoirom obtained letter marks in every subject scoring a total of 475 out of 500 marks.

She is the second daughter of Kh Khujindro and Kh Ranjita of Mayang Imphal Thana Maning Leikai who have four daughters.
Khujindro is currently teaching at Khuman Maheikol.
Toijam Sanjita is the daughter of T Santosh and T Phaajabi of Sagolband Khamnam Leirak.
She got 474 out of 500 marks.
Sanjita also obtained letter marks in all subjects.
Her father is a training superintendant at the Industries Department.
Gurumayum Gopal Sharma is the son of G Gajendra and G Ajita of Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai.
He also scored the same marks obtained by Sanjita.
His father is just a daily wage earner and the mother is a vendor selling cooked food items.
The third position holder Victoria Ngangbam, daughter of Ng Bonobir and Kiranmala of Langol Housing Complex, secured 469 marks out of 500.She also got letter marks in all subjects.
Her father is presently holding the post of Under Secretary at Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM).
Her mother is currently the Headmistress of Khomdram Selungba Upper Primary School.
In all, 69 students secured position in the board exam though only 26 were declared to be position holders as several candidates achieved same positions.
Amandip Mishra of Jiribam Higher Secondary School secured the eighth position.
He got 463 marks.
He too obtained letter marks in all five subjects.
A total of 34,460 students appeared in the board exam of which only 21,226 students got through.
The pass percentage of boys was higher compared to girls.
Altogether 6,680 students turned out as first divisioners, 12,951 as second divisioners and 1,594 as simple passed candidates.
Senapati district recorded the lowest pass percentage while Tamenglong district registered the highest pass percentage in the matric examination.
