The JAC constituted against the murder of Heitlhungshel Khaling alias KH Maring has declared that different modes of intense agitation including Imphal-Moreh highway blockade would be launched from July 7 .
Speaking to media persons at JNIMS morgue today, JAC convenor TM Holkhokai Haokip said that the 24 hour Imphal-Moreh highway bandh imposed since 5 am of June 30 was called off in the interest of the public.
Even though the body was claimed today, the JAC would be constrained to launch different modes of agitation from July 7 in case the demands put forward to the Government are not fulfilled by July 6 .
The JAC has been demanding punishment of all the culprits involved in the murder of Khaling and payment of adequate compensation to his family.
Meanwhile, a team of the JAC met Revenue Minister Chief Minister in-charge Th Debendra this morning.
The Debendra assured that the JAC's demands would be apprised to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister once they arrive at Imphal.
The Revenue Minister also instructed top police officers of Thoubal and Chandel districts to nab all the people in involved in the murder of Khaling through telephone in front of the JAC members, Holkhokai said.
54 year old Heitlhungshel Khaling who retired from 37 Assam Rifles was found dead near Nungourok along Imphal-Moreh highway in the night of June 26 .
