Imphal, November 25 2015:
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam today inaugurated a newly constructed market-shed at Moreh.
Construction of the market-shed began on September 13, 2012 at an estimated cost of Rs 21,71,00,000 .

90 per cent of the total cost was funded by the Central Government while the remaining 10 per cent was contributed by the State Government.
The market-shed was constructed under ASIDE scheme with MANIDCO as the work agency.
The market-shed which is attached with a 50-people capacity hall has a car parking, 82 stalls and other facilities.
Speaking at the occasion, the State would strive towards development only when people work hard together forgetting the community and religious differences.
As Moreh is a commercial town, people of the border town must look after the market-shed properly, he said.
