9th Manipur Polo International India continue winning streak, Aus clinch first win

Imphal, November 25 2015:
India continued the winning streak after defeating England while Australia claimed their first win over Thailand in the 9th Manipur Polo International, a part of the Manipur Sangai Tourism Festival, organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, today at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
In the first match, India humiliated England by a margin of 12 goals to three.
The match began with India dominating from the first chukker as P Ojit hit a treble followed by a goal from S Bimol while England managed to pull back a goal through Mike Howe.

P Ojit added three more goals - one in the second and a double in the third chukker to make the scoreline 7-1 in favour of India.
In the final chukker, England fought back hard and secured two more goals through Mike Howe again and Jack Aldridge.
However, P Ojit and S Bimol contributed a goal each for team India while H Abung struck home a treble to seal the match 12-3 against a hapless England.
In another match today, Australia clinched their first victory against Thailand by a margin of 8 goals to four after they lost their first and second match to USA and England respectively.
In the first chukker, William Francis and James Henry scored a goal each making the scoreline 2-0 .
In the second chukker Australia witnessed three more goals from Jack Archibald, William Francis and Robert Miller while Suphachai Sukhampha hit a brace for Thailand.
Australia's William Francis scored two more goals - one in the third and final chukker to give 8 goals to his team.
On the other side, Suphachai Sukhampha scored two more goals for Thailand in the 3rd chukker while Vorajit Wongkaro contributed a goal to give 4 goals to Thailand.
Tomorrow, Thailand will seek their first win against England.
