Awardee congratulated
Peoples Development Association (PDA) has expressed profound happiness and congratulated TM Rajen Ayangba of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai, Tinseed Road, Imphal East on winning the "Pride of India 2015 Award" on November 17 at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Award announced
Manipuri Literary Society, Imphal said that the biennial Soram Mukta Award has been conferred on Makhonmani Mongsaba's travelogue "Chinglon Amadagi Amada" .
The award will be presented on its foundation day on December 8, it said.
Film Forum meet
Film Forum Manipur (FFM) has notified that as part of the ongoing Sangai Asian Film Festival 2015 being held at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) auditorium, they will organize Cine-off day on November 29, Sunday at MSFDS auditorium to discuss the development of film in Manipur.
All the members are requested to attend the Cine-off day meet, it said.
Legal day cum awareness prog
District Legal Services Authority, Imphal West in collaboration with CHILDLINE Imphal is organizing "Observance of law day cum legal awareness programme" on November 26 at Model Hr Sec School, Takyel, Imphal West from 12.05 pm, said a statement.
Basic news reporting course
Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) will organise 15-day basic course in news reporting under the State Institute of Journalism of DIPR from the second week of January 2016, according to a notification.

City Convention Centre
Chief Minister O Ibobi today presided a meeting to decide whether the City Convention Centre located at Palace Compound be looked after by the Govt or it be outsourced.
The meeting was attended by high ranking officials of MAHUD, amongst others.
The CM reportedly entrusted the officials to study the feasibility of the City Convention Centre being outsourced or to be run by the Govt.
