Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has vowed to intensify the ILP protest calling people from all walks of life to stay away from work on Monday.
The committee has asked all to form human chains on streets to pitch up voice for the demand for implementation of Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) .
People have also been asked to stage torchlight rallies during night with the backing of youths from all local clubs, a JCILPS statement said on Sunday.
JCILPS further called for organising democratic agitations across the State on a daily basis to push for the demand for implementation of ILPS in Manipur.

The Joint Committee said the Manipur Regulation of Visitors, Tenant and Migrant Workers Bill 2015 passed by the State Assembly on March 16 last, is in fact intended to provide safety to outsiders (non-locals) .The Joint Committee had been spearheading a public protest to demand withdrawal of the controversial Bill since its passage, said the statement released by assistant media coordinator, JCILPS Kheiruddin Shah Moijingmayum.
"The Chief Minister has been insisting we're all Indians and trying to blot JCILPS as if it's an organisation which is woefully ill informed about the Constitution," it rued.
The population of the indigenous people from both the hill and valley is around 10-19 lakh, but the Government is showing its inability to determine the actual figure as of now, the Joint Committee said.
It claimed the indigenous people are now being overtaken by the 10 lakh non-local population in the State and explained non-locals in Manipur are from countries like Myanmar, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Now that the Tripuris have lost their original home and the condition of ethnic population in Assam which has been seriously threatened by outsiders is even worse, the committee said.
The Joint Committee will not wait another one month or three months and maintained that only a fortnight is enough for the State Government to introduce a fresh ILP Bill and get it passed in the Assembly, reiterated the JCILPS.
