Imphal, June 12 2026: All nine Naga MLAs of the State namely; Losii Dikho, Din-ganglung Gangmei, Awang- bow Newmai, Khashim Vashum, Leishiyo Keishing, Janghemlung Panmei, Olish Shilshi, Ram Muivah and J Kumo Sha have condemned in the strongest terms the barbaric killing of six Naga civilians by Kuki militants after they were abducted on May 13, 2026 .

The Naga People's Front (NPF) has also unequivocally condemned the barbaric act of killing the six Naga hostages.

As per the testimony of the 12 hostages released on May 15, 2026 who were abducted on the same day along with the six men, they were first stopped at Leilon Vaiphei village by the women of the village in front of the house of the Leilon Vaiphei village chief, and later handed over to heavily armed Kuki militants, said a joint press release issued by the Naga MLAs.

It said that the Kuki CSOs' claim of having no knowledge of the six men while admitting to having knowledge of the 12 women including a baby girl is a blatant lie.

Noting that the highly mutilated bodies were found buried after 28 days of the abduction, the Naga MLAs expressed extreme unhappiness over the way the villagers, CSOs and Kuki militants tried to hide their heinous crime that no human being has ever committed.

Such heartless and barbaric killing of innocent villagers including two Pastors and a Deacon by cutting them into pieces was never heard of, they said.

Recalling how Naga volunteers released all the 14 Kuki detainees safely, the Naga MLAs said that the criminals and the authority who gave order to commit such a crime must be arrested and given exemplary punishment as per the law.

The MLAs have also extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed that the Almighty God give the families strength to overcome the sorrow.

Saying that the abduction and subsequent cold-blooded murder of the innocent Naga individuals is not only a grave violation of human rights but also an assault on the conscience of all civilized society, the NPF Central Hqs has urged the Government of India and the Government of Manipur to immediately probe the matter and ensure that justice is delivered to the victims without delay.

An impartial and transparent investigation must be conducted to identify those responsible for this heinous crime and bring the perpetrators to book as per the law of the land, said a press release issued by NPF Central Hqs.

It also appealed to all communities to maintain calm and refrain from any retaliatory action.

The party has further expressed deep anguish and unequivocally condemned the uncivilized act of vandalism carried out at the NPF Manipur State unit office at Senapati during the late hours of June 10, 2026 by some unknown miscreants.

NPF Senapati Division has also condemned the inhuman act murdering six Naga hostages and mutilating their bodies by Kuki militants.

It further condemned the act of ransacking and vandalising NPU Manipur State Unit office at Liangmai Taphou, Senapati.
