Assistance to injured students

Members of JCILPS Student Wing and Joint Student Co-ordination led by their convenors today visited the students, who were injured in the pro-ILPS movement, and handed over monetary aid today.
Haobijam Reeson of Khurai Konsam Leikai, who was critically injured in the agitation, is still undergoing treatment at RIMS hospital.
According to Reeson's mother Sanatombi, after delaying for around six days due to machine breakdown, RIMS authority has promised them to have a CT scan of Reeson's injury on Monday.
He is critically injured on his right arm, abdomen, left ear and left shoulder.
He is unable to listen with his left ear with blood oozing out from it, Sanatombi said and added that doctors are now worried that the damage may shift to his right ear.
Although, doctors had earlier advised to fully amputate Reeson's right arm due to the critical wound he had suffered, doctors are observing his condition for one last time after conducting a surgery, Sanatombi said.
Talking to reporters, Reeson urged the people of the State to unitedly continue the agitation until ILPS is implemented in the State.
Later, the visiting students wished him speedy recovery and handed over some monetary aid to Reeson.
The students also visited other injured students - Anjali Mayanglambam of Haobam Marak Keisham Leikai and Wangthoi Amom of Kiyamgei Maning Leikai - at their respective houses and handed over monetary assistance.
