The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Sadar Hills has urged the Education Minister to intervene into the matter on the recent post reallocation of Hindi Primary teachers in the hill districts and bring an amicable solution at the earliest.
The student's body president Thangminlen Kipgen pointed out that to settle the MGEL related problems with effect from their appointment an amendment to the Cabinet decision on July 20, 2013 was taken on July 29, 2013 in which Hindi matriculate teacher is to be read as Hindi Primary teacher under Memo No 10 but till now no positive action has been initiated.
He also asserted that the appointed Hindi Primary teachers who are mostly posted under ZEOs/DIs of Churachandpur, Sadar Hills, Senapati, Chandel, Ukhrul and Tamenglong have been left out of the post reallocation and no arrangement is made so far for them adding that it will be wise on the part of the State Government and the Education Department in particular to execute equal treatment to all the appointed teachers in the interest of quality education in the State as well as the student community.
The student body has also warned to take up a series of agitation if the problems of the said teachers are not solved at the earliest.
