PFI, Manipur State resolves

Imphal, January 15 2014 :
The Popular Front of India (PFI), Manipur State held its State General Assembly at Lilong on January 14 and 15 and adopted certain resolutions.
The assembly resolved to exert pressure on the State Government to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to the citizens of Manipur and complete the work construction of National Highways without any delay.
It also resolved that the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958 be repealed from the State as it has been a biggest hurdle on the way of peaceful and dignified life of people of the State and to bring an amicable solution to the Indo-Myanmar border issue at the earliest.
During the session, the Annual Report, 2013 of the organization was also presented and passed unanimously.
