General Congress held

Poumai Naga Catholic Me and St Aloysius' Catholic Church, Tungjoy jointly hosted the 23rd General Congress of Poumai Catholics.
The event also marked the golden jubilee celebration of the St Aloysius' Catholic Church.
The dual festivity began with the arrival of congress delegates on January 9 and ended with their departure on January 13 .
The festival was regarded as a historic event due to the participation of Poumai Razeba Range of Nagaland.
Colourful people from all walks of life joined the communion with spiritual renewal touch from a charismatic preacher and healer Rev Fr Joby Kachappilly VC Director, Divine Retreat Ashram, Faridabad.
The second day was made holy by the blessings of the Bishop of Kohima, Most Rev Dr James Thoppil.
The third day saw cultural dance competition in the presence of the chief guest Francis Ngajokpa, Minister of Rural Development, PR, Eco & Stats and guest of honour, MLA Nunglung Victor.
This was followed by a troupe display from local Baptists Youth and Poumai Razeba from Nagaland.
The evening session witnessed song competition and also Siile Anthony's speech, 'Home of the Soul', derived from the title of the theme song.
The fourth day saw the golden jubilee chief celebrant of the Arch Bishop of Imphal, Most Rev Dominic Lumon DD to all the faithful, especially members of St Aloysius' Catholic Church.
Valedictory session was graced and witnessed by S Arow Joseph Pao, President, Senapati District Catholic Union and Krelo Peter, President, Mao Catholic Association as a chicf guest and guest of honour.
