Residential camp

A three-day residential camp held under the aegis of Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) was held today at CADA head office, Pureiromba Khongnang Makhong, Konung Mamang, a statement issued by CADA information and publicity secretary informed.
The opening ceremony was attended by Aheibam Biren, retired Director of Arts and Culture, Government of Manipur as chief guest and advocate Yumnam Ratan-kumar, president, CADA Head Office as functional president respectively.
During his speech, chief guest Biren said the present educational system of the State is quite like the kind of education policy that was imposed by the British Government on India before independence.
To attain the desired target in the field of education, the new generation must be taught the land's history and traditions before anything else.
The Director further lauded CADA for organising the camp adding that the same would, hopefully, contribute in the making of a better State.
Speaking on the occasion CADA president Ratankumar said the camp is more like an awareness programme for its members which would benefit CADA members in a varied way.
