NPP MP calls for collective efforts

National People's Party (NPP) MP Conrad Sangma has called upon all the people of the North East region to work collectively for rapid development of the region.
He was speaking at a one-day political conference held at their Airport Road, Ghari office today where new members of the party were also felicitated.
Conrad Sangma who is also NPP president said that the primary agenda of NPP is development of the North East region.
The party is always committed to uniform development of the region.
Manipur is abound with many vexed issues.
Even as the State has been witnessing a very precarious situation, the index of corruption is quite high in Manipur, he said.
If Manipur must be saved from such a precarious situation, people of the State need to wake up, Conrad Sangma said.
If Manipur should witness certain changes, the forthcoming State Assembly election is the most perfect opportunity.
He then called upon party leaders and workers to begin due preparations for the forthcoming Assembly election starting from the grassroots level.
NPP Manipur unit president and ex-MLA Thangminlen Kipgen said that womenfolk have a big responsibility in bringing about rapid development in Manipur.
It is the people of Manipur who should protect its territo rial integrity.
No outsider will protect territorial the boundary of Manipur, Thangminlen said while calling upon all the people to work collectively so that the State's territorial boundary remains intact for all time to come.
