Ukhrul BJP hold public audience with aspiring candidates ; BJP sets poll ball rolling in Ukhrul

Ukhrul, October 21 2016:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ukhrul unittoday invited all the BJP intending candidates of Ukhrul district to a one day BJP political awareness cum poster campaign held at Town hall, Phungreitang, Ukhrul with the primary objective of choosing and assessing the right candidate who have a better chance of winning before the party ticket is issued for the 11th State Assembly election.
All the intending candidates stressed on the aspiring candidates to abide by the party's principles and give their pledges to sup port who ever gets the ticket.
Aspiring BJP candidates from Phungyar, Ukhrul and Chingai ACs collectively ap pealed to the people to vote for the BJP and give a chance to form a BJP Government in the State under the able lead ership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
All the intending candi dates talked on the need to uproot the corrupt Congress Government and bring devel opment.
They also talked on BJP's ambitious programme Vision 2020 documents.
According to them only the BJP can resolve the vexed Indo-Naga issue.
They further stressed on the need to strengthen article 371 (C) as enshrined in the Constitution of India as it has a provision of having separate Hill Directorate and Hill Secretariat.
The lone BJP woman intending candidate from Ukhrul AC, Soso Shaiza talked on decentralization of power, devolving more power to the Autonomous District Councils for good governance at the grass root level, to ensure transparency and accountability in development.
Altogether 10 BJP aspiring candidates addressed the gathering including two from Phungyar AC-Somi Awungshi and Wungshim Angkang, four from Ukhrul AC-Somatai Shaiza, Soso Shaiza, Worthington Mahung and Ngakulmiza Asai, four from Chingai AC-Dr Khashim Ruivah, Aza A Shimray, Ningkhalem Shimray and Sword Vashum.
The programme was attended by all mandal leaders, BJP supporters and party workers in thousands.
