Flagging-off ceremony organised

A flagging-off ceremony for candidates of Recruitment Rally was organised by Khuga Battalion today at Khuga.
The ceremony started with offering of prayers for the success of the candidates, conveyed a press release of PIB Defence Wing .
Earlier, the Battalion had propagated the information about the Rally to rural and far off areas and had registered a number of candidates for providing help with physical fitness and training .
A total of 216 students were registered with the career counselling cell.
Out of them, 120 students reported, who were provided coaching along with free boarding .
A total of 120 aspirants cleared the initial physical and medical tests.
These candidates were again provided with free accommodation and messing beside coaching for written exams.
Assistance in terms of provision of books, stationery and periodical were provided to each and every candidate.
The coaching progress was regularly monitored and periodical assessment was carried out to identify weak areas to increase their confidence and chances of clearing the written exams, it said .
To help them in exams a stationary kit was also gifted to the aspirants.
40 candidates, who were too poor to undertake journey to Dimapur were also given financial assistance so as to enable them to appear in the exams at Rangapahar Mil Station, Dimapur.
The event culminated with giving of best wishes to all the candidates, the release added.
