Arrest of Nikki Sumi’s wife ; Seized articles brought to Imphal

Imphal, October 25 2017:
Articles seized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) during a raid at the Dimapur residences of the wife of one general of NSCN-K and three women collaborators were brought to Imphal today and all the articles have been kept in the custody of relevant Court .
A team of NIA landed here this afternoon from Dimapur via Guwahati.
They produced the seized articles before the Court of NIA Imphal, Special Judge and the articles were taken into the Court's custody, informed a source.
The seized articles included Rs 27.90 lakh in cash, 12 mobile phones, three laptops, one hard drive and some other documents.
Residences of NSCN-K Lt Gen Nikki Sumi's wife Shelly N Sumi (39) and three other residences located at Naharbari Basti, Dimapur were raided by NIA yesterday .
The alleged collaborators of Shelly have been identified as Ekeliato (31).Hozhily (54) and Qhutol (34).All four of them were apprehended by 34 Assam Rifles from Karong, Senapati along with Rs 18.47 lakh on April 7 this year .
Even as a case was registered against them at Senapati PS, they were freed on bail .
Notably, the Government listed Nikki Sumi as one of the accused in the Paraolon ambush of June 4, 2015 in which 18 personnel were killed.
