Imphal, October 25 2017:
The State Government has approved an action plan for making potable water accessible to all households of the State by 2022 .
The action plan was approved at a high level meeting held today with Chief Minister N Biren in the chair, informed a source .
Among others, the meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar, PHE Minister L Dikho, TD Minister N Kayisii and Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen .
It was estimated that implementation of the action plan would require around Rs 300 crore.
The meeting also discussed about exploring agencies/sources which would be willing to invest the requisite amount, added the source.
