Imphal, July 17 2021:
The United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur (UARSoM) has appealed the State Government to allow movement of 'Result Committee' members of various schools who are involved in mark assessment of Class X and Class XII students.
The association, in a press release, acknowledged the measure of the State Government to curb the transmission of Covid but stated that teachers and officials of schools involved in assessing mark in connection with preparation for declaration of Class X and XII examinations under Board of Secondary School Education Manipur (BSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary School Education Manipur (COHSEM) should be exempted from the purview of the curfew to be enforced from July 18 for ten days.
Restriction on movements of teachers will eventually lead to delay in declaration of examination results and thus affect careers of many students, the association said while appealing the State Government to consider their appeal and provide some relaxation on movements of teachers.
