Saubhagyavati Nari Kalyan Foundation conducts charity drive

Imphal, February 15 2022:
The Saubhagyavati Nari Kalyan Foundation organized a two day charity drive on February 13 and 14 distributing 85 sanitary pads and medical kits to roadside women vendors at different places.
The sanitary pads and medical kits were distributed to women vendors near the roadside of Langjing Bazaar, Iroisemba, Khumbong Bazaar, Keithelmanbi, Tera Bazaar, Taobungkhok Makha and Awang Leikai, said a press release by the Foundation.

The drive was carried out in connection with the occasion of Indian Women's Day celebrated on February 13 commemorating the birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu as well as Valentines Day which falls on February 14 .
Volunteers namely Jogen Mangsidam, Stanley Nameirakpam, Suresh Thongam, Aribam Gyatri and Aribam Eliza under the supervision of the director of the foundation, Christy Nameirakpam carried out the drive with an aim to spread awareness on menstrual and sanitary hygiene especially among the small scale women vendors for their contribution to the society and the economy, added the press release.
